Farzana Shahnewaz
Farzana completed her B.Sc. in Environmental Science in 2017 from Independent University Bangladesh as a Cum Laude. She was a core member of both Green Planet Club and Independent University Bangladesh Debate Club. She was nominated for 'Future Leaders of Tomorrow' under the category of university students at 'Inspiring Women' event arranged by Bangladesh Brand Forum in 2015. After graduation she worked with the ISO Tech Group as a Junior Environmental Specialist . Farzana is currently pursuing her M.Sc. in Environmental Science in Southeast Missouri State University in Missouri, USA with 100% scholarship. She is working on a research thesis project based on Hydroclimatology.
Yasif Hasan
Yasif Hasan has been working with the Red Cross since he graduated from SESM. He started working with the International Federation and is now with the American Red Cross as a Program Officer. Yasif is based in Dhaka and he has been promoting coastal disaster preparedness through working with multiple vulnerable coastal communities, government and the CPP. After the recent influx of population from Rakhine, the Red Cross was one of the first ones to reach with disaster risk reduction support. Yasif's work includes program monitoring and evaluation, program designing and program management. He is the focal point for Information Management and Forecast based Actions for American Red Cross. Yasif is also a trained member of the National Disaster Response Team. In addition to his full-time job, Yasif is also pursuing a Masters in Disaster Management from University of Dhaka with a thesis focusing on Pond Sand Filters in coastal communities of Bangladesh.

Sharazad Hassan
Sharazad Hassan completed her BSc in Environmental Science from SESM in 2019. She is currently pursuing her Masters on Environmental Leadership and Management at the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom with a 100% Developing Solutions Scholarship. Sharazad has received academic awards in IUB for outstanding results for two consecutive years and served as the Core Body Member of Green Planet Club, IUB and was the founding President of IUB Korean Club.
