Hamza Habib Hasan

After completing his B.Sc on Environmental Management in 2013, Hamza joined the regional team in Dhaka of one of the largest European retail brands - Primark. He significantly contributed to rehabilitate the victims of Rana Plaza disaster. He also supported various social and environmental projects in Primark’s Bangladesh supply chain. Hamza’s job required him to proactively engage with various stakeholders such as ILO, DFID, IFC, BGMEA, BKMEA, Caritas, BNWLA and others. In 2016, he moved to the UK to pursue his M.Sc on Environmental Management where he studied the response of River Sherbourne’s macro-invertebrates to change in water quality. Shortly after his M.Sc he was offered a role as Environmental Sustainability Assistant in Primark’s UK central office and his job required him to liaise with all the regional teams to ensure that Primark’s supply chain partners are compliant to its sustainability requirements. He was promoted to Environmental Sustainability Coordinator in March 2019 and he is a key member of a growing team of sustainability experts in Primark. Beside Hamza’s professional work he keeps himself well informed of the current academic research on natural capital and water management with the hope of pursuing a PhD degree in future.

Saikat Tanu

Saikat Tanu completed his B.Sc. in Environmental Science in 2017 from Independent University, Bangladesh(IUB) and completed his M.Sc. in GIS for Environment and Development from Jahangirnagar University. Saikat currently works as an Information Management Officer in Danish Refugee Council(DRC), Bangladesh. Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is the largest humanitarian organization in Denmark working in more than 40 countries around the world and ranked as 3rd world’s best NGO. He has also worked with several International NGO and Research Organisation like WorldFish, Practical Action, TU Dresden-Germany. Also he got 100% scholarship from Bangladesh Government-LICT Program which was conducted by George Washington University, USA. He has a passion for photography and has participated in national and international exhibitions. One of his photographs has been published in Lonely Planet - the largest travel book guide in the world.





Adeeba Nuraina Risha

Adeeba Nuraina Risha completed her BSc in Environmental Science in 2019. Following her graduation she applied for a master’s programme on Environmental Leadership and Management at the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom. Nottingham University is ranked 76th in the world rankings and Adeeba received a 100% scholarship under their flagship scholarship, Developing Solutions Scholarship. She received Academic Awards in IUB for outstanding results for two consecutive years and served as the Public Relations Director of Green Planet Club, IUB.

Shariful Islam

Shariful Islam completed his B.Sc. in Environmental Science in 2017 and started his career through an internship program with the USAID’s Tiger Conservation project which was implemented by the WildTeam under the leadership of Bangladesh Forest Department. After completing his internship program, he joined International Organization for Migration (IOM) as a Communications Assistant. He has also worked with the Program Development and Quality (PDQ) team of Save the Children in Bangladesh as a casual professional to provide consultation and support for the Country Strategic Plan (CSP) socialization. Shariful has recently joined with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) in Bangladesh as a Community Engagement and Accountability (CEA) Officer. IFRC is the world's largest humanitarian network working in more than 190 countries.
