Raida Sharmin Shuvechcha

Raida graduated from IUB in 2022 with a B.Sc. in Environmental Science and a minor in Anthropology. An active person on campus, Raida was a participant at the Disaster Response Exercise and Exchange(DREE) Bangladesh in 2019 and coordinator of the Eco-Network, Bangladesh at IUB. Raida did her internship at Manab Kallayan Parishad in 2022. She has joined Teach For Bangladesh in August 2022 and started working as a fellow from 1st January 2023.

Shahriar Caesar Rahman

Shahriar Caesar Rahman completed his B.Sc. in Environmental Science from Independent University, Bangladesh and is co-founder and CEO of Creative Conservation Alliance, a Bangladesh based conservation organization dedicated to the ecological and cultural conservation of Bangladesh's last wild places. He has documented 26 globally-threatened species persisting in the Sangu Reserve Forest and has also discovered the critically endangered Arakan forest turtle and keeled box turtle for the first time in Bangladesh, as well as rediscovered populations of the largest tortoise in Asia: the Asian giant tortoise, which was thought to be eradicated from Bangladesh. Shahriar serves as a Regional Vice Chair-South Asia of IUCN/SSC Tortoise and Freshwater Turtle Specialist Group, a member of the IUCN/SSC Boa & Python Specialist Group, IUCN/SSC Viper Specialist Group and the Global Shapers of World Economic Forum. Caesar is the winner of the prestigious Whitley Award in 2018 and Future for Nature Award in 2017. Shahriar is also pursuing his MPhil on Conservation Leadership at the University of Cambridge, UK.

Tasfia Chowdhury

Tasfia graduated from IUB in 2021 with a B.Sc. in Environmental Science and a minor in Economics. Tasfia did her internship at the DBL Group. where she was in charge of the environment chapter in the DBL Group's Sustainability Report (2020) following GRI standards. After graduation, Tasfia worked in several organisations including the DBL Group, Akelius Residential Property AB and Second Horizon Capital, in NewYork. Tasfia is also an IFRS/FSA SASB Credential Holder which means that she can work on sustainability taking into consideration the financial performance of a business. Tasfia is currently pursuing her MSc in Sustainability Management at Columbia University, NY.

Faizaa Fariya Hridi

Hridi completed a double major in Environmental Science and Environmental Management with a minor in Anthropology at Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) in 2021. An energetic student, Hridi was the President of the Environment Club and the founding President of IUB Korean Club while studying at university. After completing her graduation, Hridi worked as a Research Analyst at Canopy Security Risk Management Consultants. Hridi also won the CARE 2021 Curiosity Awards for her work in Upskill, Bangladesh. Hridi is currently pursuing a Masters of Global Sustainability Studies at the University of Denver in Colorado, USA.

Fatiha Mohammed

Fatiha completed her Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Environmental Science with a minor in Media and Communication at the Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) in 2021. An active student, she was the President of the Green Planet Club and was involved in leading and organising many events of the club. Fatiha did two internships while she was at IUB - one at the BARD Centre for Environmental Policy in USA for the project called Solve Climate by 2030 and another internship at Bangladesh Centre for Advanced Studies (BCAS) in Bangladesh. After completing her graduation, Fatiha worked at BetterStories Limited, a consulting firm, as their Project Research Associate. Fatiha is currently pursuing Masters of Applied Science in Environmental System Engineering and Management at Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada.

As part of my studies we had to go to village and stay with rural people for a three week immersive field research program. When doing that I fell in love with Bangladeshi villages and our rural folk. I also felt very strongly this urge to do something to improve the dismal quality of services people have access to, especially in healthcare.
