Welcome to M.Sc. in Natural Resources and Disaster Management Program

Rapidly growing population of the world has created unprecedented demand for natural resources. This has led to unplanned and sometimes unauthorized extraction of resources. The imbalances created through such ravage activities have affected natural eco- systems of the world. As such management of natural resources has obtained global attention. During the last decade Natural Resource and Disaster Management has emerged as a separate branch of knowledge. The field has emerged as diversified vital academic program at many Universities and Academic institutions. Natural Resources and Disaster Management has created remarkable interest among the academicians, planners and policy makers at national and global levels. A Masters program, entitled M. Sc. in Natural Resources and Disaster Management with two major concentrations (i) Biodiversity Management and (ii) Flood Plain and Disaster Management has been designed to meet the necessities. It is intended that the graduates from this program will create an impact on future national and global decision making with respect to Natural Resources and Disaster Management.
